Did you know that Train’s Pat Monahan was crowned king of the McDowell prom? ~ Christine’s Chronicles

Before his “train” arrived ~ The caption of this 1987 Millcreek Sun image states:

“Royal Couple — Crowned as this year’s McDowell Senior Prom king and queen, Sue Sweeting and Pat Monahan pose together shortly after crowning festivities. The prom was held Friday, May 22…. Photo by Christine Lorraine.”

McDowell is a public high school situated in Millcreek, a suburb of Erie, PA. This photo appeared in the Millcreek Sun, which was owned by the now defunct Brown-Thompson Newspapers.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: When I captured this image, it was a mundane assignment that interrupted my evening. Now it’s a beautiful moment of capturing the image of someone from this area who really made something wonderful happen. Congrats to Mr. Monahan for a job well done.
