Kimberly House was a hostelry in downtown Erie, PA initially on W. 9th between Peach and State. It was considered to be a classy establishment, catering to those seeking comfort within elegant quarters.
It later moved to a different building at the NW corner of W. 7th St. and Peach and was renamed the Fisher Hotel, which was still open and operating into the mid-20th century.
This colorized sketch is from around 1890, when it was still on W. 9th Street, across the street from the Erie Academy.
Thanks to research from GC68 and Timothy Patrick McLaughlin, this piece of Erie’s forgotten downtown history has been brought to the surface.
