Get A Look At This Beautiful Halloween Blue Moon, The First One Visible Since 1944 During World War II

Couldn’t resist setting the camera up with such clear skies even though it was a chilly evening. This was the first visible “blue moon” on Halloween night for 76 years, according to livescience.com. The last one occurred in 1944, during World War II.

The next Halloween full moon that will be visible to the world isn’t expected until 2077, based on information in the Farmer’s Almanac. FYI – The “blue” in blue moon does not refer to the color, instead to the fact that it’s the 2nd full moon in the same calendar month.
